Privacy policy

Efficient Energy Group Pty Ltd, ABN 40 659 398 320. Last updated 18 October 2026.

This policy explains what personal information Efficient Energy Group ("we", "us") collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • Your name, mobile number, email address, and the address or postcode of the property.
  • Details about the property and the equipment you want replaced, for example pool size, the pump, hot water or air conditioning system you have now, and your energy use.
  • Photos you send us of your equipment, pipework, meter box or switchboard.
  • Your electricity bill. We use the meter number (NMI), the supply address and the account holder's name. We don't use your payment details on the bill.
  • For businesses: the business name, ABN and site details.
  • Records of our quotes, contracts, installations, invoices and our messages with you, including texts, emails and notes of phone calls.
  • Website information: pages visited, the device and browser used, and how you arrived at our site. This comes from cookies and Google Analytics.

We don't collect or store your card details. Card payments go through our job management system's payment service, which is run by a payment processor.

Why we collect it

  • To give you a price and a written quote, and to contact you about your enquiry.
  • To check that your property and equipment suit the upgrade, and to book and complete the installation.
  • To prepare the paperwork for government energy savings schemes and incentives, which require the customer's details, photos, the installation address and the electricity meter number.
  • For warranty, service and complaints.
  • To meet our legal, record keeping and audit obligations.
  • To tell you about other upgrades or offers that may suit you. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text or using the unsubscribe link in an email.

Who we share it with

We only share what each party needs for its part of the job:

  • Licensed installers and installation partners who carry out work for us.
  • Certificate providers that create the energy savings certificates for your job, and the scheme administrators, regulators and auditors of the schemes and incentives that apply to it.
  • Service providers that run our systems: our job management and quoting software, our online forms and quoting system, SMS and email services, website hosting and Google Analytics.
  • A finance provider, only if you choose to apply for finance through them.
  • Anyone we are required or authorised by law to share it with.

We don't sell your personal information.

Some of our service providers, including Google, store information on servers outside Australia, for example in the United States. We use established providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.

How we keep it safe

We store information in password protected business systems with access limited to the people who need it, and two factor sign in protects our website and hosting accounts. Energy savings schemes require job records to be kept for several years, so we keep them for at least as long as those rules require, then delete or de-identify them when they are no longer needed.

If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell the people affected and, where required, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies, including Google Analytics, to understand how people use the site and to improve it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but some features may not.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
